NEWSFLASH! Diet Soda is REALLY Bad for You…

A new study, conducted by scientists from Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, appears to have found a link between diet soda consumption and kidney damage in women. The study followed 3,000 caucasian women over an 11-year period and compared artificially-sweetened drinks to those sweetened with sugar. Researchers found women who drank two or more diet drinks a day doubled their risk of gradual kidney decline. Researchers found no such occurrence with those women drinking similar amounts of the sugar-sweetened drinks. (Psst, I hear water is even better for you… or unsweetened coffee or tea…)
